Danza Azteca Xochipilli

Danza Azteca Xochipilli, currently directed by Adolfo Arteaga and his wife, Eva, was founded in 1987 by Adolfo Arteaga, who was trained in the tradition by his grandparents.  The company has performed throughout the southwestern states and for the past 21 years, the company has been a featured artist with the Segerstrom Center for the Arts’ outreach program, Arts Teach. “Dance is a common bond amongst all cultures and it helps to bring unity among all races. A dance group is an alternative to gangs, drugs and violence. Our performances strive to enhance cultural awareness and educate people about the traditional ways of the Aztec people.”  xochipilli1987@yahoo.com
